A good German violin bow by Hermann Beyer. The bow was made in the 1980ies in Germany. The round stick is made of brown pernambuco wood. The stick is of good medium strength and nicely elastic. The bow is stamped "Hermann Beyer" on shaft above the frog. The ebony frog is nickel mounted with Pearl eye and pearl slide. The weight is 60,9 g, the length 73,9 cm. The felt balance point is in the middle of the stick, slightly towards the head. The measured balance point is at 26,5 cm from the frog end. The bow is a good beginner's bow, comfortable to play, producing a very nice clear and slightly mellow tone.
